Class Preparation List
- All parents MUST review the 10DaySwim philosophy prior to lessons on Day 1.
- The student should not be in any other water during the 10 day lesson period (two weeks). Very important!
- Please sign and bring the provided WAIVER FORM on the first day of lessons.
- Please do not eat two hours prior to the lesson. This can be relaxed down to one hour if the swimmer is experienced, or once your swimmer has adjusted to the lessons.
- Arrive at least 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time to avoid scheduling issues.
- Please limit the number of spectators you bring; and limit snacks and food as well.
- Please do not allow the swimmers/spectators to play around the pool surroundings while waiting.
- Come prepared to learn already in swim clothes when possible.
- Please do not apply sunscreen as it is only 10 minutes and makes the swimmer slippery and fogs the pool.
- A swim diaper is required if not fully and confidently potty trained, or for all swimmers under 3 years.
- Use the restroom prior to arrival for the lesson as bathroom access is limited to emergencies; however, better in the bathroom than the pool!
- No flotation devices, toys or goggles.
- Bring dry clothes and a towel for after your lesson.
- The parent’s job is to smile and show trust in the instructor. Please refrain from instructing during the class – trust the process!
- Tuition is due on the 3rd Day of lessons. On Day 2, envelopes will be available with a billing note inside.
- If your child develops any illness during the session, we will reschedule for a later date when safe; a slight cold absent a fever or cough is still acceptable to swim provided your child feels well.
- Please note, we will swim even if raining. We will not swim if there is lightening, in which case we will exit the pool if onsite. If we need to cancel due to excessive weather, we will contact you via phone/text.
- Swimming is a LIFE SKILL and it is a great gift that you can give to someone you love – congratulations!
Video Recording and Media Policy
10DaySwim prohibits the recording of most or all of the full 10 minute lesson(s); however, we encourage the recording of brief clips of your little swimmers making amazing progress from Day 1 to 10.
